The unbeaten Boone Toreadors traveled to Tama to take on 5 – 1 South Tama
and the Trojans scored first on touchdown runs of 95 and 86 yards
in the first quarter before Dusty Moran hit Brett Slight with a 14-yard t-d toss
to start the second period. South Tama found the end zone twice more
to give the Trojans a 27 – 7 halftime lead. In the third quarter, Jonny Mack
had a 2-yard rushing touchdown, but that was it for Boone as the Toreadors
lost for the first time this season, 37 – 14 at South Tama. Next week,
6 – 1 Boone is at Grinnell, who beat Ballard, 35 – 14. Sports Director Ryan Wendt,
along with color man Mark Turner will have Toreador football
right after the Moffitt’s Ford Lincoln pregame show at 6:30 Friday night
on AM 1590 and kwbg.com.
