SEATTLE (AP) – In a bizarre ending that capped a tough weekend for replacement officials, the Seattle Seahawks beat the Green Bay Packers 14-12 on Russell Wilson’s disputed 24-yard touchdown pass to Golden Tate on the final play. Wilson scrambled from the pocket and threw to the corner of the end zone as the clock expired. Tate shoved Green Bay’s Sam Shields out of the way, then wrestled with M.D. Jennings for possession after Jennings got both hands on the ball.

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) – New York Jets All-Pro cornerback Darrelle Revis (duh-REHL’ REE’-vihs) likely will miss the rest of the season after tearing the ACL in his left knee during yesterday’s 23-20 overtime win at Miami. Revis fell awkwardly and grabbed at his knee even before he hit the ground. It was his first game back after missing a week with a concussion suffered in the season opener against Buffalo.

UNDATED (AP) – The New York Yankees have stretched their lead in the American League East to 1 1/2 games over Baltimore after the Bombers beat Minnesota 6-3 while the Orioles were settling for a split of their doubleheader with Toronto. Chicago’s 5-4 win over Cleveland keeps the AL Central-leading White Sox one game ahead of the Detroit Tigers, who knocked off Kansas City 6-2. Texas beat Oakland 5-4 to give the Rangers a five-game cushion over the second-place Athletics in the AL West.

UNDATED (AP) – The St. Louis Cardinals beat Houston 6-1 last night to move 3 1/2 games ahead of Milwaukee and the Los Angeles Dodgers for the final National League wild-card berth. The Brewers lost a full game to the Redbirds by losing 12-2 in Washington, which allowed the Nationals to cut their magic number to five for clinching the NL East crown.

TORONTO (AP) – A face-to-face meeting between top officials from the NHL and NHL Players’ Association wasn’t enough to break their labor stalemate. The sides spent almost five hours together yesterday going over accounting for last season but didn’t emerge with any plan to resume negotiations on a new collective bargaining agreement to end the lockout. Representatives from both sides said the topic wasn’t even raised.
