BOONE, Iowa—Early voting in Iowa begins Thursday morning and plans are to have a polling place available at the Boone County Courthouse for those that wish to cast their absentee ballot. In the past the voting was done in the Auditor’s Office between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM. This week, a voting location will be set up on the first floor of the courthouse. The hours will remain unchanged. Also this week, the Auditor’s office will begin the process of mailing out absentee ballots to those that submitted requests. Voters can still send in a request for an absentee ballot. An easy to use form is available here. Absentee ballots can not be mailed out until Thursday. So far, more than 1,800 requests for absentee ballots have been received.
