BOONE, Iowa—The 2012 Pufferbilly Days Celebration got underway Thursday evening with excellent weather conditions.  Mild weather brought our more than a hundred classic cars.  The first time ever Little Miss and Mr. Pufferbilly contest drew a huge crowd of more than 70 youth.  Opening ceremonies in the Entertainment Center featured Boone Mayor John Slight who thanked the volunteers and also the city employees for stepping up where possible.  Jack Weber is a retired Union Pacific employee and had been asked to be a part of Pufferbilly Days.  Weber noted the UP’s commitment to the communities it has close ties to and mentioned the arrival of the Legendary #844 steam locomotive currently on display.  Rain overnight and some
