Madrid 40, Audubon 23

Posted on 07 September 2012 by KWBG

Madrid traveled to Audubon yesterday evening and led 14-0 at the end of  the

first quarter, courtesy of a 13-yard touchdown dash by Owen Gibbons and a

15-yard t-d run by Jacob Clayton.  Gibbons took it into the end zone again in

the second period from the 41 as the Tigers led 24-8 at the half.  Clayton scored

for a second time on a 23-yard rumble in the third quarter, then Colton

Braunschweig ran it in from the 3 in the fourth period, giving Madrid a win over

the Wheelers, 40-23.  The Tigers, with a record of 2-1, will next play 3-0

Martensdale Saint Mary’s, who defeated Earlham, 27-7.  Sports Director Ryan

Wendt, along with color man Mark Turner, will have the play-by-play from The

Jungle right after the Moffitt’s Ford Lincoln pregame show at 6:00 Friday night

on AM 1590 and kwbg.com
