Boone 34, Newton 6

Posted on 07 September 2012 by KWBG

Undefeated Boone hosted winless Newton last night, but it was the Cardinals who

scored first on a muffed punt.  The Toreadors then answered right after the

ensuing kick off on a 59-yard touchdown pass from Dusty Moran to Alex Davis.

The extra point gave Boone a 7-6 halftime lead.  In the third quarter, Jonny Mack

had a 32-yard t-d run and Levi Morain dove in from 1 yard out.  Mack picked up

his second touchdown from the 6 in the fourth period and Davis had a 74-yard

t-d rumble keeping the Toreadors unbeaten with a 34-6 victory over Newton at

Goeppinger Field.  Next week, Boone goes to Saydel, who was bombed by

Ballard, 54-0.
