Boone 21, Carlisle 10

Posted on 24 August 2012 by KWBG

Boone began its 2012 football campaign in style as Jonny Mack scored on a 9-yard run just 4:54 into the season to give the Toreadors a 7 – 0 lead over Carlisle.  Dusty Moran hit Alex Davis with a 21-yard t-d and Boone was ahead of the Wildcats 14 – 0 at the half.  Neither team scored in the third quarter, but Mack had a 3-yard touchdown rumble in the fourth period as the Toreadors held off Carlisle, 21 – 10.  Mack racked up 141 yards on 25 carries.  Next up, unbeaten Boone travels to Perry, who downed Greene County last night.  Sports Director Ryan Wendt, along with color man Mark Turner, will have Toreador football right after the Moffitt’s Ford Lincoln pregame show at 6:30 Friday night on AM 1590 and kwbg.com.
