BOONE, Iowa—Fire conditions in Boone County continue to deteriorate, but the County is still not under a Burn Ban.  In fact, 39 counties in Iowa have not instituted a ban on open burning.  Boone Fire Chief Justin Adams said earlier that there wasn’t a burn ban but there was still quite a bit of concern about the danger.  The Fire Chiefs in Boone County communicate about the conditions on a pretty regular basis and will be the ones making any recommendations about a burn ban.
