BOONE, Iowa—The Boone County Hospital Board of Trustees have approved a proposed budget for the new fiscal year, that estimates net revenue and expenditures of about $45-million. That amount is up from the 2012 Fiscal Year budget by about $2-million. The biggest share of the increase will be the dollars being spent for the new digital health records transition. Chief Financial Officer Dave Mellett told Trustees this week that he included the IT Transition and the re-establishment of the 3rd floor skilled care unit so the increases in revenue and expenditures would be apparent.
