BOONE, Iowa—The Boone County Board of Supervisors will set a date to hold a public hearing on a proposed lease purchase agreement for the purchase and installation of the narrow band radio equipment being mandated by the federal government.  The lease purchase agreement would be with the successful low bidder for the work.  A sizable portion of the project is being covered by grants and the current E-9-1-1 proceeds.  Rick Lampe, Boone County 9-1-1 Coordinator has projected that future E-9-1-1 proceeds should cover the cost of the lease purchase agreement.
