BOONE, Iowa—The Boone Parks Commission found out this week that one of their planned projects has received funding from Boone County FORCE.  FORCE is the foundation that developed from the old Boone County YMCA.  Park Commissioner Dr. John Murphy applied for funds to assist with plans to repair and upgrade the north side Memorial Park tennis courts.  The FORCE Board approved a $500 award for a project estimated to cost $2,500.  Murphy says youth, representing Boone High boys and girls tennis and young men from the Woodward Academy will help with the work.  The goal is to complete the work in May.
