Annual BRR Ride No Matter What The Weather

Posted on 03 February 2012 by KWBG

PERRY, Iowa—The original winter bike ride will be held Saturday, no matter what kind of weather we’re having.  The 35th Annual BRR Ride will begin in Perry Saturday morning, travel north and west to Rippey and then follow the route back to Perry.  Thousands have participated over the years, regardless of cold, snow or ice.  Weather forecasts call for rain changing to snow overnight with at least a couple of inches on the ground by the time the ride starts Saturday at 10:00 AM.  Riders leave Perry, travel north out of town on Highway 144 to Clover Avenue, then north to 290th Street and west to Rippey.  Riders reverse the route on the way back.
