TreeCycle Program Begins Sunday

Posted on 30 December 2011 by KWBG

BOONE, Iowa—Boone County residents have long supported the Boone County TreeCycle program and the same is expected again this year.  The program takes real Christmas trees and mulches the trees for use in the parks in Boone County.  Lisa Anderson, Boone County Environmental Coordinator says residents are invited to take their real trees, clean them of decorations, ornaments, tinsel, tree stands and drop them off at designated locations.  She says the program is free of charge and will run from the 1st through the 15th of January.  Additional information is available here.
