BOONE, Iowa—Three people were taken to the Boone County Hospital Thursday evening, following a multiple vehicle accident on US Highway 30 west of Boone. Sheriff Ron Fehr says deputies investigated the accident that started when a pickup with a trailer full of hay was struck by a vehicle that was apparently struck by yet a third vehicle. Taken to the Boone County Hospital were 21-year old Megan Engleen of Boone, 20-year old Curtis Sievers of Jefferson and 19-year old Joseph Hupp of Scranton. None of the injuries were considered life threatening.
