Frosty Conditions Cause Accidents

Posted on 20 December 2011 by KWBG

BOONE, Iowa—Boone County Sheriff Ron Fehr reported that his department had 4-single vehicle accidents between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM Monday.  Fehr noted that frosty, slippery road conditions were to blame for all the accidents.  The first occurred on the west side of Boone, one at the junction of Highways 30 and 17, one  on Kale Road near Fraser and one north of Boone on Nature Road.  At least two people were transported by ambulance and another visited the hospital by private vehicle.  No serious injuries were reported.  Fehr noted that mild weather conditions have limited drivers exposure to slippery road conditions.
