BOONE, Iowa—The Boone City Council’s Utility Committee has voted to move ahead with planning for the fourth phase of the mandated sanitary sewer rehabilitation project.  The fourth phase affects the northeast part of the community and is projected to cost about $1.5 million.  Perry Gjersvik with Foth Engineering told the Committee that the Iowa DNR has signed off on the proposal and the next step will be to finalize plans, expected in January.  The Council recently endorsed an application for a Community Development Block Grant to defray some of the expense.
