BOONE, Iowa—The Boone County Homeless Prevention Board was on hand Wednesday as the Boone County Board of Supervisors adopted a proclamation designating November as Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Month in Boone County. The Homeless Prevention Board has spent the last couple of years on the Crawford Hall renovation project, turning into a family shelter. In the past 7-weeks, ten families have passed through the doors of the shelter. Three families are still housed at the shelter.
