BOONE, Iowa—The Salvation Army of Boone County will close the application process for Christmas Assistance Friday afternoon. Lt. Bill Rutledge says the application process has been underway nearly two weeks. He says the assistance, which will include food and toys, will be distributed in mid-December. Rutledge also says the Salvation Army will begin their Red Kettle Campaign in two weeks on November 10th.
