Municipal Elections

Posted on 24 October 2011 by KWBG

BOONE, Iowa—Boone County Auditor and Commissioner of Elections Phil Meier says some voters are apparently misunderstanding the recent action taken by cities and the county to establish new voting precincts. Meier emphasised that the any change does not take affect until January 15th, 2012, next year. He says the municipal elections in two weeks will use the same voting locations as they have in the past. The most recent change for voting in Boone was the move in the Boone 4th Ward from Franklin Elementary to the Ericson Public Library. Only Boone and Madrid have multiple precincts.
