BOONE, Iowa—Supporters of a $16.1 million school bond issue for the Boone School District are pushing the use of absentee ballots for the upcoming election. County Auditor and Commissioner of Elections Phil Meier says there has been a noticeable increase in absentee ballots for a school election. Meier says many are sending in requests for the ballots, but others are voting at the Auditors office at the courthouse. The school election day is September 13th.
