Posted on 09 August 2011 by KWBG

BOONE, Iowa—The Boone County Conservation Board has approved a request to allow staff to take part in the Operation Releaf Program. The program is available through Alliant Energy and makes trees available for planting in Boone County. Conservation Director Andy Hockenson says it’s been several years since the County participated. He says it was quite successful the last time and expects it will be again. Hockenson says there could be 300 to 350 trees available for planting in Boone County.
