7 Injured in Crash

BOONE, Iowa—Seven people were hospitalized as a result of a two-car accident on the south side of Boone early Wednesday afternoon. The Iowa State Patrol is handling the investigation and reported that a car, operated by 26 year old Ashley Sabatka of Omaha failed to yield for traffic from a stop sign at US Highway 30. A car driven by 20 year old Sarah Conry of Harlan struck Sabatka’s car broadside. Sabatka was flown to Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. 5 year old Nathan Sabatka was taken to Blank Children’s Hospital. Conry and two others were taken to Boone, one was taken to Methodist and one to Mary Greeley in Ames. Condition updates were not available. The Iowa State Patrol is conducting the investigation.
