Storm Damage

BOONE, Iowa—A thunderstorm followed by a wind advisory affected Central Iowa late Monday morning and into the early afternoon. Emergency responders were spotting during a Thunderstorm Warning that affected southern Boone County and northern Dallas County. Some heavy rain fell, but no serious problems have been reported at this time. Following the thunderstorm, winds began to blow at 40-to-50 miles per hour. Authorities did report some damage, mostly tree branches from the strong gust winds. No injuries have been reported at this time.
