School District Patrons to Begin Organizing

Posted on 09 June 2011 by KWBG

BOONE, Iowa—The Boone School Board would like to move ahead with a proposal to add on the the current high school, demolition a portion of the structure and remodel some of the current space. The Board’s proposal has been presented a number of times since earlier this year and now, supporters of the project want to organize and formally call for a bond referendum and campaign for the project. By law, the district can only present the information. The actual vote will need to be sought by petition. A meeting for supporters will be held Monday at 7:00 PM at the Boone County Historical Center. Superintendent Brad Manard has been asked to provide and overview of the plan.
