BOONE, Iowa—Continued concerns by Boone County Supervisors about the financial viability of the Central Iowa Expo remain. Julie Weeks with Ames CVB and Kurt Phillips with the Boone Area Chamber of Commerce told the Supervisors this week that current operations will be handled by a committee of themselves and Bob Fisher with Boone’s Future. Weeks told the Supervisors a more detailed operating plan to cover the next 18 months is being prepared. A separate committee will be organized to focus on the problem of long term debt for the site that serves as the Iowa home to the Farm Progress Show.
