PILOT MOUND, Iowa—Mother nature may be the biggest challenge during this weekends annual Bluff Creek Triathlon. The early season event continues to draw participants. The Bluff Creek Triathlon uses the Don Williams Recreation Area and offers both Olympic and Sprint divisions. With any luck, contestants won’t be battling thunderstorms, but rain into the weekend should have an impact on the swimming portion. The water temperature at Don Williams was 57 degrees.
