Supervisors Adopt Ordinance Amendments

Posted on 30 March 2011 by KWBG

BOONE, Iowa—The Boone County Board of Supervisors rarely waive readings on ordinances and ordinance amendments but did so twice on Wednesday. The Board first waived the third consideration on the Floodplain Management Ordinance and then followed that by waiving the third consideration on the amendment eliminating Conservation Overlay language from the Zoning Ordinance. Brian Berge wanted to make sure that waiving the third reading to rescind the language of the Conservation Overlay, wouldn’t create a loophole to allow the matter to resurface.
