BOONE, Iowa—The Boone County Board of Supervisors will address two ordinance amendments this week during their regular meeting Wednesday. The first will update the county’s flood plain management plan. The second will address the elimination of a section from the county zoning ordinance. Section 4.13 specifies language for a Conservation Overlay. The County Zoning Commission has recommended the language be rescinded following the receipt of petitions with more than 1,200 signatures. The first public hearing on the flood plain management will be at 9:00 AM and the public hearing on the zoning ordinance will be held at 10:00 AM.
