Posted on 09 March 2011 by KWBG

BOONE, Iowa—The Boone School Board has set the public hearing on the district’s budget for a regular board meeting on April 12th. Boone Superintendent Brad Manard says the proposed budget seeks about a $1 million decrease in property tax dollars in the next year, which will effectively reduce the tax rate by more than $2. Manard says the difficult decision made by the Board and Administration 4 years ago have now come around to the benefit of the district and patrons.
