BOONE, Iowa—The Boone City Council has a number of public hearings to schedule and to hold when they meet Tuesday. The Council will set public hearings on the proposed 2012 Budget and on a repair project at the Boone Water Environment Station. The sewer plant needs work after flooding last year. The $250,000 project will generally be covered by money from FEMA and the State. The public hearing that will be held Tuesday will be for the sale of just over $4 million in General Obligation Bonds for projects and capital purchases in the next fiscal year.
