Water Main Cost

Posted on 18 January 2011 by KWBG

BOONE, Iowa—There’s a bit a dispute over the $16,000 cost of a water main, constructed at the Franklin Elementary School Building to service the buildings fire suppression system. The dispute is, who should pay for the work? The issue is whose responsible because of the need for an improved water main to make the fire suppression system work. The DLR Group did the design work for the School District and apparently feels the City should cover it. The City Council voted Monday to reject the request for payment indicating the cost should be covered by the DLR Group.
