BOONE, Iowa—The 5th Annual Dragoon River Romp will beheld Saturday in Boone County. Landfill Administrator and Recycling Coordinator Scott Smith says the finishing touches are being put in place. 150-volunteers will take to the Des Moines River at Frazier and travel to the boat ramp near Boone Water Works, cleaning up the river. He says there will be 100 on the water and 50 land lovers. In the first four years, 16-tons of debris were removed from the river. Smith says they reached the limit for volunteers a week ago.
