OGDEN, Iowa—It’s been going on for quite a while, but next Tuesday, the Ogden City Council will consider bids for the demolition of two-downtown properties. The Johnson and Rattray Buildings have been considered a problem for some time. The Council recently agreed to acquire the Johnson Building and then immediately called for bids for demolition. Officials say asbestos issues have been handled. The demolition will open a spot in downtown Ogden and efforts are underway to secure a project for the site.
