BOONE, Iowa—Organizers for the 3rd Annual Back to School Supply Drive in Boone County are in the final days to collect items and to take donations for this year’s county wide event. The first year, 99 youth were served. Last year the number jumped to 177. Projections for this year are as high as 250 children. All the agencies making up the Boone County Human Service Council are working with Boone County Empowerment and the Family Empowerment Center to make this year a success. Supplies will be distributed August 5th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at DMACC in Boone.
