BOONE, Iowa—Parking and traffic issues around the Franklin Elementary School were the topic of discussion by school officials and the Boone City Council’s Public Safety and Transportation Committee. With the completion of remodeling and renovation work and school beginning in 3-weeks, officials are looking to find ways to avoid grid lock. Principal Dan Gould has been working with neighbors and city staff to develop ideas to keep traffic moving smoothly around the school. The Boone City Council will receive a Committee recommendation Monday.
