BOONE, Iowa—Boone Public Works will begin picking up those tree branches and tree limbs that fell during last Sunday’s early morning thunderstorm. Wind gusts were recorded in excess of 70-miles per hour and according to Public Works and Parks Director John Rouse, causes extensive damage community wide. The past week, Parks and Public Works worked at dealing with damaged and dangerous trees. During the past week, residents were encouraged to move their downed branches and limbs to the parking in front of their homes. Pickup will begin Monday morning at 7:00 on the north side of the city.
