BOONE, Iowa—Boone County Emergency Management Coordinator Dave Morlan says the good news for Boone County residents is that water levels on the Des Moines River north of Boone are declining rapidly. The downside, the level at Lake Saylorville is not dropping as quickly. Morlan says US Highway 30 west between and Boone and Ogden is expected to remain closed for another week.
