BOONE, Iowa—The Boone County Hospital Board of Trustees have directed administrators to begin developing a proposal that would eventually allow for the sale of the former Heartland Health Center. The building currently houses the activities of the Boone County Family YMCA. The discussions would allow the building to become the property of the “Y” of Greater Des Moines. No final decisions have been made, but Trustees would like to see a proposal when they meet in July.
