BOONE, Iowa—After more than a month, the Boone City Council has approved an amendment to the city’s tree trimming ordinance. The amendment was sought by the Boone Park Commission and requires commercial tree trimmers to meet certain standards. The Council previously debated the need for the amendment, who oversees the ordinance and impact on people trimming their own trees.
